My name is Margaret Raskova of the 588th Night Bomber Regiment of the US Air Force. I am writing to you, the brother of the deceased Rosalinda “Rosie” Gutierrez, because I am a close friend of your sister and because I was there the day she went missing.

I know you received official communication that her plane crashed in the Gulf of Mexico during a routine training exercise. No doubt they mentioned her machinery was faulty and that she was overtired from a previous evening of raids on enemy ships. But that is an outright lie perpetrated by commanding officers to cover up what really happened.
